Our Story
Stander was built on the commitment of helping the elderly, disabled and their caregivers Be Independent. Stander Inc was founded by Jan Miller in Logan, Utah in 1998 and is still family owned today. The inspiration behind Stander came from Jan’s 90 year-old grandma Essie. Essie wanted to remain at home, but home mobility options were few and the ones that existed were limited and felt very sterile and institutional.
Like many unpaid family caregivers, Jan just wanted to help her grandma Essie to Be Independent, safe, and happy. Jan saw an opportunity to do something great for her grandma. Jan and her husband designed Standers very first mobility products which allowed Grandma Essie to Be Independent, be safe and live her best life at home.
Stander Today
Today Stander has designed dozens of mobility products for every room in the home. Stander has deepened its core values of independence and happiness for all those involved with mobility challenges and designing & producing the highest quality products. Stander will remain committed to these ideals because they help people Be Independent.
